The removable QX 5 steel cutting cylinder cassette provides for easy maintenance and the optional QX lawn scarifier cassette quickly converts it to a powered lawn rake.

This Quick Exchange QX™ system allows you to not only remove the blade cassette for re-grinding or replacement, but also to turn your lawnmower into a powered rake by substituting the standard six-bladed cassette with the QX™ Lawn Scarifier cassette accessory available as an optional extra. A ten-bladed cutter cassette is also available as an optional extra. (See options box below).

The Balmoral is controlled by a three-way drive system with independent cylinder and rear roller engagement and allows the blades to be disengaged without stopping the engine. For easy manoeuvring you can also disengage the drive.

The spring tine comb lifts the grass prior to cutting to ensure an even cut and a stainless steel front roller and heavy steel rear roller produce the beautiful classic stripes that are the hallmark of an Atco cylinder mower.
